The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is the introductory credential in Amazon’s certification pathway, validating high level comprehension of cloud concepts, terminology and AWS services. It is recommended for newcomers – including those without prior IT or cloud experience – and sets the groundwork for more specialized AWS certifications. The exam emphasises overall cloud literacy and specific AWS service knowledge, making it less technical than higher level certifications but essential for roles in sales, marketing, product management and other non technical functions. Exam content is organized into four domains: cloud concepts, security and compliance, cloud technology and services, and billing, pricing and support.
